Curbside Pickup
NOTE: If you no longer wish to participate in curbside trash removal, please arrange for us to pick up your toter. We will return it to Marangi Disposal and you will not be billed for these services.
Make sure your toter is curbside by 7:00 a.m. on Monday to make sure it is picked up. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Public Works at (570) 775-7559, ext. 323
What is a Toter?
A toter is the receptacle used for automated (recessed upper lift pocket) and semi-automated (steel lower lift bar) trash collection. They meet the industry standards set by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The requirements for toters for Marangi include having both a upper lift pocket and a steel lower bar (see Zappy's video below for more details).
2025 Curbside Pickup
Enrollment in our 2025 Curbside Program will require members to own a toter that meets the ANSI standards. You may purchase the toter that you are currently using ($90) or you may purchase your own and ask us to remove the other toter and return it to Marangi.
Curbside Trash Removal
In addition to having a toter, members will be asked to enroll that toter in curbside trash removal. We will identify your toter as enrolled with a 2025 program/enrollment sticker. The cost will be $50 per year. Enrollment will link your service address to a weekly visit by our waste contractor whether you use it each week or just on occasion.
When 2025 dues statements are prepared in January, members who have opted into the toter program or currently have a toter, but have not notified us whether you want to opt in or opt out of the toter program will be charged $90 to purchase their toter and a separate charge of $50 for enrollment
Opt In
By opting IN, you'll be agreeing to a $50 annual enrollment fee. Members may purchase their current toter at a one-time $90 fee or purchase another toter that meets the required specs.
Opt Out
If you would like to opt OUT of the new curbside program, please complete this form to arrange for the pickup of your toter by HFCA.
